YouNow is a live-video social entertainment platform and creative social network. Founded by Adi Sideman (Oddcast, Ksolo, and MySpace), it debuted at TechCrunch Disrupt in September 2011. In a May 2016 interview with TechCrunch, Sideman reported that YouNow was logging more than 170,000 live streams per day and 100 million user sessions per month. As of July 2016, Sideman continues service as CEO. YouNow popularity grew substantially during 2014 and 2015, following significant changes to the service. In 2015 the company raised $15 million from venture capitalists, bringing the total invested to $30 million.
In July 2016 YouNow introduced Moments, enabling its community to share 15 second clips from live broadcasts with their social networks outside the platform.
